How to Terminate a Real Estate Listing Agreement
A listing agreement is a contract between a seller and a real estate agent. The agreement allows the agent to list the house for sale and do everything possible to sell the property, including putting up ads and holding open houses. If you are not satisfied with your agent, it may be possible to cancel the listing agreement, fire your agent, and find someone else to sell your home. Or, you may want to cancel a listing agreement and wait awhile before putting your house back on the market.
Many brokers are willing to terminate listing agreements for a good reason.
